|Stanley Carl Hartt (1917 - 2005) 88 years of age
Stanley is the son of Carl and Florence (Ferguson) Hartt born in 1917 in Hanna, AB. Stanley worked on the farm and drove truck for many years. He married Marjorie Joseph of Wardlow on June 18, 1948. Together, the couple farmed and had their three children.
The family packed up and moved to Edmonton in November of 1957 where Stanley worked at Premier Steel/Stelco for a number of years, then went to work for Alberta Oil Tool, where he retired in 1984 while Marjorie raised the kids. Marjorie spent hours with the grandkids while her children worked.
Stanley, when not working, was fixing bikes or making toys for his grand-children. The one constant for our family was the Sunday morning pancake breakfasts. Stanley would cook teddy bear pancakes for each of the grandchildren and no mater how busy everyone was, we spent Sunday mornings together.
Stanley is survived by his loving wife of 57 years Marjorie, two daughters: Doreen (Dave) Nicholson of Edmonton, Phyllis of Calgary and one son Carl (Cheryl) of Edmonton; seven grandchildren: Terry, Monica, Shane, Jody, Ashley, Carisa and Cari and eight great-grandchildren: T.J., Justice, James, Dylan, Keegan, Brady, Cody and Daniel.
Stanley was predeceased by one grandson, Levi in 1976.|
