On Friday, Jan 9th, 1998, Mrs. Veronica (Verna) Hartt, late of 3716 Exton St., Port Alberni, B.C. passed away suddenly at her residence, at the age of 68 years.
Predeceased by her parents: Nikolaj and Petrunellia Burbulack, and one son, Gerry Roland Hartt. Survived by her loving family; husband of 44 years, John; one son, Brian, and his wife, Sharon Willis of Port Alberni; one daughter, Janet Helm and her husband, Raymond of Delta B.C.; brothers, Walter Burbulack and Raymond Burbulack (Bonnie); sisters, Bertha Deyell (Clare), Mary Casels (Joe), Katie Duncan, Helen Albers (Len), Jenny Desemoroux and Della Foy; her beloved grandchildren: Jaedon and Chantal Hartt, Charlene Helm and her friend, Denis Derkach and Nathan and Trevor Helm.
Verna was born in Holden, Alberta and has lived in the Alberni Valley since 1956. She was a member and past-president of the A.V. Ladies Curling Club, a past-president of the A.V. Toast mistress a member of the Ladies Auxiliary and Associate Voting Member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch # 169. She also enjoyed her curling, playing baseball, fishing and loved to garden.
A Service of Remembrance will be held 1:00 pm Saturday, January 17th, 1998 from the Chapel of Memories Funeral Home, 4005 - 6th Ave, Port Alberni, B.C. with Captain Richard Gilbert officiating. Cremation will take place.
