Richard Wood was born Nov. 23, 1888, in Kent Junction, Kent County, New Brunswick a son of James & Mary (Stickey) Wood. In the New Brunswick Archives, it reads: " Dick Wood age 26, bachelor of Kent Junction and Kate Bastian, age 22, a spinster of Rogersville were married July 17, 1915, in New Castle Methodist Church, by Rev. H. Harrison. Witnesses were Ronald & Alice Harrison." His wife lived until 103 yrs old in Scarborough, Ontario where she was living at Shepherd Lodge. Dick was a Conductor for the Canadian National Railways on a train which ran from Campbellton to Moncton, NB It was a three car and was called the Scooter. They had 7 children. James died Feb. 23, 1961, New Castle, Kent Co. New Brunswick Both are buried in Campbellton NB.
