Jennie Roach was born in Knoxville, Tennessee, Sept 17,1898 to Richard and Cornelia Roach's family of ll children. Her family moved to the Green Lake district of Seattle. She met Roy Hartt at a Christian Conference in Tacoma. They married April 7, 1918 in Seattle. Jennie, during her service at Prairie Bible Institute in Three Hills was a "mother" to many students who were away from home. She worked for years in the laundry department. Both Roy and Jennie had the "fishing bug", together they spent many pleasant hours camping and fishing around the area. They raised seven children, four became missionaries. Roy & Jennie would try and visit them where they served on the Mission Field. David served in Haiti and Guadeloupe. Margaret went to Portugal, Bradford went to Cuba, Charlotte Irian Jaya (now Papua) Jennie died in the Three Hills Extended Care Center on January 13, 1990, in her 94 year.
