(husband of Erma Hartt) Erma, Edward, Thomas E, Thomas, Thomas A., Jonathan, Samuel, Isaac

Lloyd George ReederLloyd was born May 12, 1925 in Tisdale, SK to Albert and Louie Reeder. He started school in Sylvania and then Thaxted and Melfort. Lloyd stayed at home to help his Dad do the farming while three brothers served in the military while the others worked away. He also did carpentry work with Jim and farmed as well. On June 19, 1950 he married Erma Person and we raised four children: Pam, Keith, Rena and Becky. They in turn gave us seven grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. Family meant everything to Dad and he always had a big bear hug and an "I Love You" when we came through the door. When he had enough of farming he decided he wanted to be a salesman. His first job as a salesman was brief with Melfort Motors, where he sold Cockshut and Dodge cars, but his passion was John Deere. He eventually became a partner in Melgreen Equipment with Dave Long and Harvey Neilson. He enjoyed that for 17 years, then went into RV trailers sales. He liked buying and selling trailers. Leer RV Sales was home for the company on Highway 6 South. Lloyd and Erma started going to the United States for a winter holiday in 1975 and continued for 14 years. Golfing was their thing. Lloyd was very active in the Presbyterian Church and was an elder for many years. Lloyd was predeceased by his parents Albert and Louie, an infant son Stephen in 1962, and daughter Rena in 1992. Also predeceased by his six brothers and one sister: Earl, Howard, Ray, Jim, Murray, Jack and Helen. Lloyd passed away peacefully at Parkland Place in Melfort on April 5, 2014 at 4:30 p.m., with his family by his side. Lloyd leaves to mourn his passing his wife Erma, children Pam (Larry, Alexis and Josh, Natalie and Francis, Abbey); Keith (Karen, Jason and Melanie, Logan, Raina, Brenna); Jeff (Natalie, Jared, Mackenzie, Treyton); Becky (Jack, Brian and Jodi, Thorin, Terek, Corrie); Steven (Steph, Triston, Brodie, Cassie and Ollie); Jodi and Kevin, Jack and Cece; 3 Sisters Jean, Viv and Velma.
