Cecil Raymond Hartt was the fifth child born May 29, 1933 to Ernest P. and Grace Hartt on the Fairy Glen homestead in Saskatchewan. Canada Cecil attended school in Fairy Glen, and then was assigned to the Royal Canadian Infantry Corps in Winnipeg. Cecil returned to the farm and began to farm with his father for a few years, and then purchased some land of his own three miles north of Fairy Glen. Then he met and married Florence Skiftun on June 30, 1962 and they soon settled down to farming the land and soon began to start their family of four. He farmed till Florence got sick and passed away in June 1997, and then he retired from farming and moved to Melfort, Saskatchwan. He lived his remaining years in Melfort, spending his time with the Melfort Museum, the Seniors Club, and helping the Ashdowns farm. He enjoyed visiting and spending time with his kids and grandchildren. He passed away November 12, 2013 at his home. Cecil was predeceased by his parents Perley and Grace Hartt, his wife Florence Hartt, and brothers Harry and Ralph Hartt. Cecil is survived by his 3 brothers; John, Aleck and Allen, and his sister Jean Hartt Barnard (Geoffrey). Cecil is survived by his four children; Wendell, Bernadine, (Merle), Myron (Dorothy), and Keith (Michelle); nine grandchildren and five great grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. C
