Douglas Ball, was born 1918 son of George & Sarah (Cox) Ball of Fredericton Junction, NB. He married Hazel Aileen Tracy. It was there that Hazel & Douglas made their home. He was employed by Irving Oil Company, at one point in his life. He served in the Order of the Eastern Star at a Worthy Patron in 1976 He operated an appliance repair shop and store for some time in the town center and later he got the job of delivering home heating oil to all the area residents who burned oil in their furnaces. Their house was destroyed by fire in January, 1979. He and Hazel built a new brick home just across from the church and next door to Hazel's sister Jessie and Lance Allen - maybe he was able to get land from Lance. After his first wife Hazel Tracy passed away in 1972, Douglas married again to Helen McFee who was a Teacher and Choir director in the United Baptist Church in the Fredericton Junction, NB. He died 1991 Hazel & Doug are buried in Gladstone Cemetery, Fredericton Junction, NB.
