J. BLISS GOODWIN 1921-2009 GOODWIN, J. BLISS - The death of Bliss Goodwin occurred on May 31st, 2009 at the Oromocto Public Hospital. Born January 4th, 1921 in Baie Verte, New Brunswick he was the son of the late Mennel and Carrie (Nason) Goodwin. Bliss lived with his family in Port Elgin, NB before moving to Fredericton Junction, NB, where he went on to serve in W.W. II as an Air Force Pilot. He later moved to McAdam where he worked for many years as a customs officer. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, snowmobiling, curling, and four wheeling at his camp on Oromocto Lake. Bliss is survived by various cousins in Port Elgin and Fredericton Junction. He was predeceased by his parents and one brother, Kensel. There will be no visitation by request. A graveside service will be held in the Gladstone Cemetery in Fredericton Junction on Friday, June 5th, 2009 at 11:00 am with Rev. Leo J.W. Porter officiating. Donations in memory of Bliss may be made to the Parkinson's Society or to the NB Heart and Stroke Foundation. McAdam's Select Community Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
