Byron is a son of David & Irma (Webb) Hartt and was born April 20 1940 in Tracy, NB, which is 4 miles from Fredericton Junction. NB, He left home when he was 16 years old and worked for 5 summers at Field, BC. Byron went to Port Cartier, Quebec, as the railway was just going into service. He met his wife Rosie Guillemette in Port Cartier, Quebec, and was married May 30, 1964. Rosie’s hobbies are traveling, computers and having coffee with the ladies. Byron worked for an Iron Ore Mining company, 500 miles north east of Montreal on the north shore of the St. Lawrence River. He was employed as a Supervisor of railway engineering, looking after the railroad that hauls the iron from the mine 260 miles north of the port. He retired in 2002 and enjoy snowmobiling and ATV riding. Byron really enjoyed contributing information for the Hart to Hartt Family History book. Sadly he died October 2, 2009 at the Centre of Health and Social Sciences of Port Cartier, Quebec, is deceased at the age of 69 years. Children of Byron & Rosie Hartt: Johanna, Julie, Jocelyne
