Elizabeth Hartt was born to Pioneer Thomas and Phebe Hartt. She married David H. Smith 1827, who was the gristmill proprietor. They lived in the Millbrow House on the river bank overlooking the site of the Mill dam and Pond. It was built by Elizabeth's father Thomas and is one of the oldest dwellings in the community of Fredericton Junction, NB. A daughter was born to the couple: Caroline Celia Smith 1852-1885
