David Endicott Hartt of Tracy, N.B. was born in 1913 to Edward and Susan Hartt in Fredericton Junction, NB. He married Irma Webb Dec. 7, 1938 at Tracy, NB . David was a member of the Tracy Baptist Church and was employed as a Plumber for 25 years. He was a Life member and past President of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #55 and a member of the Gladstone Blissville Seniors Club. He had many interests and especially enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening, and tinkering. David enlisted March 18, 1941, at the age of 28 in the St John Fusiliers, St. John, NB, as a Bandsman. He attended service school as a motor mechanic at Campbellton, NB, and training camps at Aldershot, NS, Nanimo, Pat Bay, Prince George, and Vernon BC. His regiment was the Rocky Mountain Rangers, Company Canadian Scottish. He went overseas from Halifax, NS, June 1943 until Oct. 1945, and was discharged Oct. 1945. He was then self-employed as a farmer and lumberman until 1952, then employed by the Department of National Defense at Camp Gagetown, NB, as a plumber until his retirement. He passed away at the Veterans Health Unit on March 5, 2007 at the age of 93. Their children are: Dan, Byron 1940-2009, Edward 1942-1997, David, Deanna, Sherri,
