Frank Leslie Hartt was born March 23, 1892 in Stillwater, Minnesota to William Charles & Letitia (Wilson) Hartt. Frank served stateside during WW1. He remained single so he and his single brother lived and worked together on 20 acres on outskirts of Manitou, near South Tacoma. Their rural place was called "The Jungelow" where they did some farming, felling trees and selling firewood. Both were active in their church and did much work with the Youth of the community. Frank was a character to the last. He transferred his property to Moody Bible Institute for an annuity arrangement and lived on the income for his last 6 - 8 years. In 1969, Frank traveled down to Pasadena, California to visit his nephew, Richart & Jean Hartt. While there he died peacefully , December, 1969. Richard kindly paid for his body to be transported back to Washington State for burial in the Mountain View Memorial Park, South Tacoma beside his brother Paul.
