The Family of (Ethel) Eileen Hartt would like to announce that she has begun another segment in her Journey of Life. On February 24, 2013, she left us to join the Heavenly Choir and many of her family and friends. Born, (Ethel) Eileen Maynard on April 10, 1922 she lived most of her life in Fredericton Junction. She was an avid Community Person during her life belonging to several organizations and helping with several major Community Celebrations. Her many community volunteer hours led to her receiving the Community “Citizen of the Year Award.” She was as member of the Fredericton Junction United Baptist, the Baptist Choir, Women’s Institute, Fredericton Junction Hospital Aid, Hartts’ Mills Craft Guild, Gladstone Curling Club Charter and Life Member, Associate Member of Branch #55 Royal Canadian Legion and the Red Hatters Society. She and her husband travelled extensively within Canada with friends and family. After his death in 1987, she began to spend winters in Florida where she met more friends and saw many new sights. Most of her life was spent at home working. Then she took employment with Pyramid Homes, South Central Development Council and finally worked for the Village of Fredericton Junction. Family was very important to her and when she was given the prognosis for her future on January 23, she wanted to organize a “Big Party” where she could explain to the youngest grandchildren just what was happening and that she was going to be with Grampy Hartt. Although it didn’t happen as she wanted, she did have the pleasure of having the company of her grand, great-grandchildren around her over the past few weeks. She took immense pride and enjoyment from this! Her honorary pall bearers will be her Grandchildren: Greg, Kevin, Susan, Jay, Patty, Robyn, Bobbi-Jeanne, Terri, Linzi, Aaron and Chantal and her Great Grandchildren: Heidi, Lori, Derik, Jessica, Ashley, Matthew, Nathan, Morgan, Alyssa, Nicole, Baylee, Nate, Katie, Madison, Victoria, Ashley, Cameron, Caitlyn, Carly, Josh, Jacob, Liam, Peyton, Lux, Dre, Azzlyn & Payton. She leaves to grieve her passing two daughters: Bunny Messer, Barb Piers, two sons Frankie (Jolene) and Gerald (Connie) Hartt. Eleven Grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. Her Brother Stillman (Gertrude) who is the last surviving member of her family, her long-time friend George Chinchar and adopted son Dean (Anne) Mott. She was predeceased by her husband of 49 years, Frank, her son-in-law Herb Messer, her parents Bernice and Curtis Maynard, two sisters and three brothers.
