Inscription: Beloved Wife: "Awaiting that blessed hope and appearing of our Savior Jesus Christ. Titus 2:13" Katherine Margaret Hartt was born 1891 to Willian C. & Letitia Hartt. Katherine was a remarkable, wise, spiritual and gifted woman. She was an organist and played at the Tabernacle Sunday School and at home communion. She stayed single so she could take care of her mother and father at the end of their lives. She had to do heavy lifting when caring for her mother for 8 yrs. She married Arthur Hughes in 1944, after her parents had died. Relatives always saw them walking hand and hand and they had a happy life together until 1950, when heart condition took her life while running to catch a bus. Her husband died in 1962. They are buried side by side in Oakwood Hill Cemetery.
