Pearl Vilda Hartt was born 1885 to Rev. Henry and Phebe (Smith) Hartt on the Hartt homestead near Jacksonton, NB. Pearl was prominently identified with the work of the Baptist church, having been president of the Mission Band, a Sunday School teacher and a member of the church choir. She was a young women of sweet Christian character. Percy Robertson had gone East from Alberta to be a hired man for Rev. Henry Hartt for a time. Pearl married Percy Robertson on June 30, 1914 at her sister Caroline's Daxbury Ranch north of Stettler, AB. Pearl and Percy were only married but a year and a half when she died during child birth, on December 27, 1915. Baby Dorothy lived four days when she passed away. Both are buried in the Lakeview Cemetery, Stettler, Alberta.
