Helen Augusta Hart was a daughter of John B. and Julia Hart. She was born March 19, 1876 in Sandusky, Erie County, Ohio. Later, the family moved to Toledo. Helen devoted 44 years of her life to teaching in Chase School in Toledo, Ohio. In 1909, Helen was promoted to the position of Principal; she held that position until the time of her death. She was a member of the following organizations and associations: Stella Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star, Matrons and Patrons Association, Oriental White Shrine of Jerusalem, the Harding Memorial Court, Order of Amaranth, and the Principal Club of the public schools. She died May 9, 1941 in Toledo, Ohio and is buried in the Forest Cemetery, Toledo, Ohio.
