Ebenezer and Esther Hart



Ebenezer Hart, born in Deerfield, Mass., April 22, 1773, son of Ebenezer and Sarah (Pool) Hart; married at Deerfield, Sept. 27, 1795, Miss Esther Robbins, born September 18, 1773, in Deerfield, daughter of Joseph Robbins.

Mr. Hart settled at Shelburne Falls, Mass., a carpenter by trade, and died December 24, 1857, age 84 years, 8 months, 2 days.  His wife died at Greenfield, Mass., September 14, 1864, age 91 years.

Children born to Ebenezer Hart and Esther Pool Hart:

Esther Hart Born January 26, 1797 Shelburne, Massachusetts Married Rhodolphus Newton on April 20, 1823.  They lived in Sherburne, Massachusetts.  Two children: Rhodolphus Trueman Newton and Harriet Newton.

Ebenezer Hart Born September 18, 1798 Shelburne, Massachusetts Died as an infant.
Died March 1, 1799 Shelburne, Massachusetts
Ebenezer Hart Born July 9, 1800 Shelburne, Massachusetts Married Lydia Syevens Johnson on December 29, 1824.  She was born in 1803 in Worcester, Massachusetts.  One child: Amelia Hart was born October 10, 1825 in Shelburne Falls, Massachusetts.

William Benjamin Hart Born September 28, 1802 Shelburne, Massachusetts Dr. William Benjamin Hart married Octavia Fairman on August 2, 1829.  They had two children:  (1) George W. Hart, born July 28, 1830 in Shelburne, Massachusetts; and (2) William Hart.

Holloway Long Hart Born October 4, 1804 Shelburne, Massachusetts Married (1) Mary Carter on April 14, 1830; they had three children.  Holloway married (2) Eliza L. Root on March 16, 1836.
Died June 12, 1870 Greenfield, Massachusetts
Tirzah Hart Born January 5, 1809 Shelburne, Massachusetts Married David Alden on February 19, 1839.  They lived in Kalamazoo, Michigan.  She was a school teacher.
Died July 16, 1840 Kalamazoo, Michigan
Almira D. Hart Born January 26, 1811 Shelburne, Massachusetts Married Ebenezer Sweet on January 17, 1833 and lived in Shelburne and Shelburne Falls.  Five children: Henry, William, Orlando C., Samuel, and Esther.
