Daniel Hart and Bethiah

Daniel Hart was born on January 22, 1748, in Reading, Massachusetts. He was the sixth child born to Thomas Hart and Abigail Brown Hart.
Daniel married Bethiah MacKintire on February 5, 1771. The marriage ceremony was performed by Reverend Elijah Stone.
Daniel and Bethiah resided in Reading until about 1778 when they settled in Groton, Massachusetts. Daniel was a soldier in the Revolutionary War in Captain John Flint's company, Colonel Davis's regiment.
Daniel was a farmer and he died on May 9, 1812 at Lunenburg, Massachusetts. |

Elijah Hart and Alice Abbott had at least one son: Luther Hart, born in October 1820 in Levant, Penobscot County, Maine, and died February 19, 1894 in Belmont, Waldo County, Maine. Luther married Ann ____; she was born about 1825 in York, York County, Maine. Luther Hart and Ann had at least one daughter: Amanda Alice Hart, born in December 1848 in Searsmont, Waldo County, Maine and died May 28, 1919. Amanda was married twice. Her first marriage was to John R. Moody born about 1839 in Belmont, Waldo County, Maine. Amanda Hart and John R. Moody were married on April 5, 1862 in Lincolnville, Waldo County, Maine. Amanda Hart's second marriage was to Thaddeus H. Briggs, born in June 1842; they married on September 11, 1870 in Belmont, Waldo County, Maine.
