Aaron Hartt and Mary

Aaron Hartt was born in 1791 to John Hartt and Anne Lovell Hartt at Kingsclear, New Brunswick.
Aaron married Mary Sweeney on June 5, 1823 in the Parish of Nelson, New Brunswick. They had seven children. One source says that Aaron Hartt was a superintendent at the Hartt Brothers Company in Fredericton, New Brunswick.
Aaron died on January 1, 1836; he was only 45 years of age. He is buried at the St. Paul Cemetery, Chatham Head, New Brunswick.
Aaron's widow, Mary, married James McKie on August 14, 1839, in the Parish of Chatham, New Brunswick. James, an innkeeper, was born in 1806 of Scottish descent. James and Mary had two children of their own along with the seven children born to Aaron and Mary. They all lived together at the inn.
Mary Sweeney Hartt McKie died on December 18, 1865. She is buried with Aaron at the St. Paul Cemetery, Chatham Head, New Brunswick. | |
